In the mid-7th century, the Tang Dynasty along with Silla, brought the other two kingdoms in Korean peninsula, Paekche and Koguryo, to an end in succession. In the meantime, thousands of displaced people from Koguryo and Paekche were compelled to the Tang Dynasty for several reasons. Up to now, no certain conclusion has been reached on the concrete figure of such immigrants in the academic circles, and opinions on the direction of the flowing and settlement of the Koguryo and Paekche people are widely divided.
