英语语境:
The Hundred Years'War (1337-1453) was an important historical event both in England and France. There were many reasons for this great and influential war, and the main reason was the confrontation of their economic interests. Fighting for controlling Gascony and Flanders is the major one among the many economic reasons. But to the King of England, resolution of the territorial dispute is not the only purpose. Controlling the tariff and thus having some royal revenue increase were also an important goal.
