The Huimin River is one of the Four Grain Canals of the Northern Song used for transporting grains and some other things to Dongjing (now Keifeng), the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty. It played an important role in navigation and transportation. The Huimin River consisted of three sections: Min He, Cai He, and the canal from Daliu dam of Heliu Town to Changping Town, which flowed into the Cai He. Except Cai He, the other two rivers were all excavated during the period of the Northern Song.
