清代官职称谓词“贝勒”是一个非常古老的民族称谓，最初是部落长的称谓。随着满族建立清朝，它又演变成为清朝官职称谓，是一个具有实权的官职称谓。以后，在清朝吏政制度不断学习和沿用汉语名称过程中，“贝勒”这一官职称谓尽管没有失去，但是逐渐由实权官职演变为虚权的爵位名称。

英语语境:

The Manchu official title Beile is a very ancient word which firstly was used to refer to the director of a tribe, and then transferred to an official title after the establishment of the Qing Dynasty. During the early days of the Qing Dynasty, it was an official title with power; later however, influenced by the Chinese officer system, it had gradually become an official name without any power though it was not removed.
