Dostoyevsky\'s life experience from 1850 to 1858 in Siberia was a watershed in his novel creation. When Dostoyevsky returned to Saint Petersburg from Siberia, he began to write philosophical novels, which was regarded as the beginning of the existentialist novel writing.
