The memorial submitted to the emperor in the first year of the Zhengde Period by Yang Yiqing, a famous statesman in the mid-period of the Ming Dynasty who administered the Sanbian region of Shanxi, was historically called “a policy to appease the frontier”. This policy not only reflected the painstaking efforts and wisdom of the officers and soldiers in that time, but also incarnated Yang Yiqing's ethos to loyally serve the country. So it is an uncommon documentary of national defence.
