2011年3月～2012年6月，杭州市文物考古研究所联合萧山博物馆对柴岭山土墩墓进行了抢救性发掘。其中土墩墓D30内发现两座墓葬和两组器物群，出土器物有陶器、原始瓷器、玉器等。D30M1为长方形石床木室墓，由石床、白膏泥墓底、枕木、人字形木室等组成，属于高级贵族墓葬。D30M1在墓地选择、封土使用、木室特征、墓底铺垫和墓葬营建方式等方面，均具有中国南方地区土墩墓的典型特征。它的发现为研究越地贵族墓葬的丧葬习俗提供了新资料，为研究同类墓葬的起源与分布情况提供了重要线索。

Between March 2011 and June 2012, Hangzhou Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and Xiaoshan Museum conducted rescue excavation to the earthen mound tombs at the Chailing Hill. On the earthen mound numbered D30, two tombs and two artifact boards were found, from which potteries, proto-porcelain wares and jades were unearthed. The tomb D30M1, which belonged to the high-ranking aristocratic tombs, was a rectangular wooden-chamber tomb composed of the stone platform, the white clay bottom, ground beams and the A-shaped wooden chamber. The location selection, mound building, wooden chamber type, bottom processing and general construction of D30M1 represented the typical characteristics of the earthen mound tombs in southern China. Its excavation provided new data for the researches on the funeral customs of the aristocrats in the Yue State and important clues for the researches on the origination and distribution of the tombs of the same type.
