英语语境:

The scroll painting “Gathering of Notable Lyric Poets” (Cilin Yaji Tujuan) of Wu Wei in the collection of Shanghai Museum depicts a scene where Long Ni and his friends got together in Jinling (Nanjing) in the 18th year of the Hongzhi regime (1505). Long Ni was the provincial judicial commissioner (anchaqianshi) of Zhejiang, and in the painting, he was with several friends, including colleagues, fellow examination candidates and fellow graduates, as well as some poet friends. This gathering had all the atmosphere of a seeing off and a get-together, which might be called the origin of poetry societies. Wu Wei employed the method of combining the seeing off, gathering and feast, and the outline drawing appeared simple and light but full of fineness and strength, which created a new form of painting gatherings of decorous personages.
