Throughout history, Chinese books have been evolving continuously from such forms as simple copies, folding binding, whirlwind binding, butterfly binding, BaoBei binding, line binding, glue binding to mixed binding in the present society; the book materials have changed from oracle-bones to wood, from the silk to paper and to the present electronic media; the printing methods have changed from knife carving to writing, from engraving to the stereotype and to the present digital printing plate. The advancement of technology makes the book forms more and more abundant and the book species more and more refined; besides, the manual element, as one kind of graphic design forms, is becoming particularly valuable.
