Archaeologists discovered refined jade silkworm cocoons in Yin graves in Anyang of Henan Province and Subutun of Shandong Province, and bronze axes and pots with zigzag geometric pattern in one tomb of the nobility in Yinxu site. The pattern was considered as the trace left by the wrap of damask silk and silk fragments adhering to the bronzes. The tomb of the nobility also yielded poult-de-soie, damask silk of gloss silk fabric and other fabrics, which were confirmed as silk of the Yin Dynasty, indicating that the sericulture and silk weaving techniques in Yin Dynasty were quite developed in North China.
