By comparing with traditional literature, plus reorganizing several scraps from an essay named Greeting Four Seasons in Yinqueshan's Bamboo Slips of Han dynasty, researchers have found that the text it contained is almost the same as the literary passage of Rites quoted by Huanglan. However, this same text was catalogued in two different bibliographical categories (Yin-yang doctrine and Confucianism literature respectively) in Han and Wei dynasties. This discovery not only indicates a change of position of this essay in the knowledge system of ancient China, but also reflects the process in which Confucianism assimilated and restructured the doctrines of Yin-yang into itself.
