在敦煌出土的雇佣文书记载了唐宋之际农业领域里受雇人的工价。从文书记载可知， 这时期的农业雇期虽然写作“造作一周年”， 实则为九个月； 而雇价可能根据年龄的不同， 有成丁雇价（付与成年男子的报酬）和未成丁雇价（付与未成年男子的报酬）之分。未成丁雇价每月低于一驮； 成丁雇价每月麦或麦粟一驮， “干湿中停”或“麦粟(种)中亭”。

英语语境:

The Dunhuang employment documents provide information about the wages of farm workers during the Tang and Song dynasties. According to the documents, the employment was conventionally for“a whole year”during that period, but it was actually nine months; and wages varied according to people's age, e.g., adult wages (i.e. wages paid to the adult males) and minors'wages (i.e. wages paid to the male youngsters). The male youngsters'wages were lower than one tuo, while the adult males'wages were one tuo of wheat or millet per month, or half a tuo of wheat and half a tuo of millet.
