1987年4月，合川县文管所在思居乡发现南宋单拱桥一座。与宋桥桥面衔接的是清桥，两桥处在同一水平线上。桥身拼合，桥面宛如一体。从两桥桥基、拱券、桥身观察，又是各自完整、独立的。两桥拼合的原因从“新桥碑志”中可以得到说明。碑志位于清桥东侧面北端，呈长方形，碑檐刻有石质仿木结构的单檐歇山顶式房盖，可以遮掩雨水。

英语语境:

In April of 1987, the Relics'Management Center of Hechuan County discovered a single-arched bridge of the Southern Song Dynasty in Siju Village. The Qing Bridge joins into the deck of the single-arched bridge of Song. Both the bridges are at the same level with the deck joint as a whole. Observing from the bases, arches and decks, these two bridges are independently complete. The reason of such integration can be found from the inscriptions of the stele of New Bridge which lies in the north of the east side of the Qing Bridge and has a rectangle shape. The eave of this stele is carved into single-eaved hipped roof made of rock with the appearance of wood which can be used a shelter from the rain.
