The Taihe Palace has had a history of 310 years since the reconstruction in the 36th years of Kangxi's reign (1697). As the representative of palace architecture in China, the Taihe Palace is the existing ancient building that has the largest scale in size and highest level in shape, decoration and display. It is the place for the emperors to hold important court meetings during Ming and Qing Dynasties. It's shape and structure, either its inner or outer parts, were all constructed in the most supreme way. The lower eaves of the bracket sets in the Taihe Palace consist of single corbel bracket units with double cantilever arms while the upper ones consist of single corbel bracket units with three cantilever arms.
