孔雀蓝釉在中国唐代已能够自己生产，并使用于建筑之上。孔雀蓝釉器物在中国出现于宋代，金代中期（即12世纪晚期）开始连续生产。目前发现山西地区是主要产地之一，而且直接影响到后来山西出现的法花釉。一方面，它与中亚、西亚的孔雀蓝釉有一定的渊源关系，另一方面，它的发展与道教有某种程度的联系。

英语语境:

Turquoise glaze was produced in Tang dynasty and applied in buildings. Turquoise pottery (porcelain), originated in Song dynasty in China, was continuously produced in the middle of Jin dynasty (in the late 12th century). So far, it was found that Shanxi was one of the producing areas of Turquoise glaze, which had exerted a direct influence upon the Fahua glaze later appeared in Shanxi. For one thing, it was somewhat related to the development of turquoise glaze in Central Asian and Western Asian; for another, its evolution also had a close link to the philosophy of Daoism.
