1975年11月，考古学家在湖北省竹山县城北郊胡家坡出土金器、青铜器、玉器和陶器等文物共计数十件，其中有一套8枚青铜砝码较为珍贵。该套砝码青铜质地，圆环形，形制相似，大小不等依次递减，制作较为规整，表面无纹饰。环径分别为3.6、3.2、3、2.3、2.3、2、1.9、1.4厘米，8枚共重51.9克。2005年这套青铜砝码被湖北省文物鉴定委员会定为国家三级文物，现藏于竹山县博物馆。

In November of 1975, the archaeologists excavated ten pieces of culture relics including goldware, bronze vessel, jade, pottery, etc, among which a set of weights is more valuable, in Hujiapo, the northern suburbs of Zhushan County, Hubei province. The number of the weights is eight, and each of them varies little in texture, shape and patterns but in size. There is a general decrease in size of the eight ring-shaped weights; specifically, the ring gauge of them is 3.6cm, 3.2cm, 3cm, 2.3cm, 2.3cm, 2cm, 1.9cm, 1.4cm respectively, with a total weight of 51.9 g. Besides, there is no pattern carved on them and the workmanship is satisfied without flaws. In 2005, this set of weights is regarded as grade three cultural relics of the nation by the Commission for Cultural Relics Identification of Hubei province, which is now found in Zhushan County Museum.

In March, 2006, an ancient stone poise for salt monololization was excavated at Jiyuan Salt Administrative Bureau in Henan province. Its weight was 255 jin, height 38cm, width 49cm and length 55cm. On the poise, there was an uncommon name "Ji Mong”; the "produced salt” printed on the poise was different from general salt output. Besides, the characters "Shi Fa”in"Yan Shi Fa” on the poise cannot be found in dictionaries and no recordation of supervising organs, years and months was carved on the poise.
