The 11 pieces of murals found at the five provinces guild hall in Northern Ziyang are the largest and most intact murals of the Qing Dynasty so far in Shanxi province. They have important referential values in studying the culture of business guild hall, history of architecture, folk painting of the Qing Dynasty etc. However, they're seriously damaged and are in urgent need of preservation and repair. As for those cavities in the murals, people can consolidate them by grouting. The process is as follows: drill holes - embed grouting pipes - mend the edge lines and isolate the painting - grout hole by hole - put up the top and conserve - seal holes and partially modify.
