2008 年底，河北省博物馆从蠡县征集到一件四神浮雕石棺，经专家鉴定为北朝时期的石棺。该棺为青灰石质，由四围及盖、底共6块石板拼合而成，周围的4块石板分别浮雕青龙、白虎、朱雀、玄武四神图案。此类石棺的发现在河北地区尚属首例，为研究河北北朝时期的墓葬形式增添了新的内容。
英语语境:
In late 2008, Hebei Provincial Museum collected one sarcophagus embossed with reliefs of four Gods from Lixian County, which was identified as the stone coffin belonging to the northern dynasties. The coffin was made of grey stones and composed of six stone slabs, including the cover slab, the bottom slab, and four lateral slates on which there were four God patterns: Green Dragon, White Tiger, Zhuque (rose finch), Xuanwu (Black Tortoise). It was the first time for such kind of sarcophagus embossed with reliefs to be excavated in Hebei province, which provided new details for further studies on the burial customs of Hebei in northern dynasties.
