2006年 4月末， 吉林大学边疆考古研究中心和吉林省文物考古研究所发现了安图县沙金沟遗址，遗址位于沙金河右岸第Ⅲ级阶地上。在地表和含角砾的黄色亚黏土层中共发现石器82件，原料以黑曜岩为主，包括石核、石片、石叶、细石叶、二类和三类工具(刮削器、雕刻器、尖状器和砍砸器等)。遗址的地质年代推测为晚更新世的晚期，即旧石器时代晚期。

At the end of April 4, 2006, the Research Center for Chinese Frontier Archaeology of Jilin University and Jilin Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology discovered the Shajingou site in Antu County, Jilin Province. The Shajingou site is situated in the third terrace on the right bank of the Shajin River. There are eighty-two stone artifacts collected from the ground and the loessic mild-clay stratum that contains breccias. The main raw material is obsidian. The stone assemblage includes steinkern, flakes, blades, microblades, and class II and III tools, like scrappers, burins, points, chopping tools. According to the characteristics of these artifacts, it can be inferred that the site is probably in the late period of the Pleistocene epoch, i.e., the late Paleolithic.
