后房旧石器遗址位于湖北省十堰市郧县青曲镇王家山村，主要埋藏于汉水左岸二级阶地的黄棕色黏土层中。2010年10～11月武汉大学考历史学院和郧县博物馆联合组队对该遗址进行了抢救性发掘，揭露面积400平方米，出土石制品162件，类型包括石核、石片、砾石工具、断块、砾石等。根据地貌地层对比推断遗址形成于中更新世晚期至晚更新世初期，地层里出土的两面器为探讨中国石器的演化及其与西方旧石器文化之间的关系提供了重要材料。

英语语境:

Located at Wangjiashan Village, Qingqu Town, Yun County of Hubei Province, the Houfang site is identified from sediments of yellow-brown clay at the second terrace along the left bank of Han River. The site was excavated by the Department of Archaeology and Museology of Wuhan University and the Museum of Yun County, from October to November in 2010. The salvage excavation exposed an area of 400 square meters and yielded 162 pieces of stone artifacts including cores, flakes, chunks and debris, as well as pebble-core tools. Geomorphological and chronological comparisons among the sites in the Han River valley indicate that the age of the site should be of late Middle Pleistocene to Late Villafranchian. The bifaces unearthed in the second layer of yellow-brown clay provide new evidence to the study on the development of lithic implements and on the relationship between palaeolithic culture of China and that of the occident.
