In the Slave Society Museum of Liangshan Yi nationality in Sichuan Province, there are many suits of leather armor, which are precious culture relics to study ancient military equipment supplies and lacquerware crafts of the Liangshan Yi nationality. The armor is a great defence used by soldiers during the cold weapon days, which mainly includes a seven-piece suit, i.e., ancient helmet, earmuffs, neck guard, armor, finger guard, wrist guard (wrister) and leather shield. These equipment supplies are mainly made in leather, and some of them are inlaid with silver or ornamentations made of marine products; besides, they are coated with lacquer and painted with various kinds of patterns.
