1979年10月,长兴县李家巷出土铜壶一件,由长兴县博物馆收藏。铜壶重1.2公斤,通高20.5、口径6。6、腹径14、圈足径8.6厘米。直口无盖,长颈斜肩,鼓腹圈足;两耳作双角兽头衔环,环外径4.5、内径2.9厘米。颈下半部饰一圈环带纹,近肩处有二道凸弦纹,腹部饰两组相连的蛟龙纹;圈足上有两道凹弦纹,弦纹间饰环带纹。这件铜壶从形制、纹饰看,当属东周。

In October, 1979, one copper pot was unearthed in Lijiaxiang, Changxing County, which is now in the possession of Changxing County Museum. Its weight is 1.2kg, height 20.5 cm, the mouth diameter 6.6 cm, belly diameter 14 cm, ring foot diameter 8.6cm. It is straight opening without cover, and has such distingue characteristics as long neck, oblique shoulder, bulged belly and round legs; besides, its ears are decorated with two bicorn rings each side, whose external diameter and internal diameter is 4.5cm and 2.9cm respectively; the lower part of the neck is surrounded by annulus pattern while near the shoulder there are two convex strings; the belly is carved with two interlaced Jiaolong patterns and the ring foot is engraved with two concave-chord patterns, among which there are also some annulus patterns. Judged from its shape, structure, and ornamentation, this copper pot belongs to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty.
