Many archaeological excavations have been carried out in China since late 1920s. As a result, lots of bronze of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties as well as bronze sites and remains were unearthed, lifting the curtain on the researches of bronze making techniques. From the historical mark of the remains and the surface of bronze unearthed from Zhutong Site, it can be seen that the bronze of late Shang Dynasty were made in casting process, with pottery molds as the main casting technology. The present material shows that mold casting is a series of complicated procedures, including molding, customizing, decorating, engraving, melting and pouring.
