The Library of the National Palace Museum in Taipei houses a horizontal color silk scroll, “Map of the Yellow River(Huanghe tu)”, which bears no authorial name or date. Study reveals that this work was personally commissioned by the Emperor Kangxi and the entrusted to Zhou Qia and Li Hanxian by Jin Fu, the River and Waterways Governor, and the actual drafting was complete in 1684-1687. This map was drawn with the method of bird's view, presenting the scene of the important water conservancy projects when Jin Fu was harnessing the Yellow River and the canal, and the natural and humanistic landscape on both sides of the lower reaches of the Yellow River.
