1997年，在广州市横枝岗路发现古墓，广州市文物考古研究所随即派员进行了抢救性发掘，共清理西汉中晚期土坑木椁墓3座。3座墓葬出土随葬器物总计约103件，随葬器物以陶器为主，还有少量铜器、滑石器及水晶、玛瑙念珠等。陶器表面多施薄釉，呈黄褐色，或局部釉层较厚而呈黄绿色。器表多有纹饰，部分器物上还有刻划符号。此次发掘为研究西汉中晚期墓葬的形制和风俗提供了崭新的材料。

In 1997, the Guangzhou Municipal Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology carried out a rescuing excavation of the ancient tombs discovered at Hengzhigang Road in Guangzhou City. The excavated three tombs are all wooden-chambered earth pits and belong to the middle and late Western Han period. They yield 103 objects, including chiefly pottery, and also a small number of bronzes, talcum articles and crystal and agate beads. The pottery wass principally hard clay ware grayish-white in body, coated with yellowish-brown glaze, mostly decorated with designs, and bearing cut signs in some cases. The excavation provided new material for studying the tomb shape and burial custom of this period.
