In August of 2008, a group of 7 tombs were found in Yejiadang Village of Changjing Town, Jiangyin City, among which tomb M3 and tomb M4 were well preserved. M3 is a rectangular vertical tomb with one chamber. The unearthed objects from this tomb include fabrics, bronze wares, porcelains, silver wares, tin wares, bamboo and wood wares and paper documents, etc. Fabrics fall into silk floss, linen and damask silk. M4 is a rectangular vertical tomb with excavations such as stone coffin with bronzes, tin wares and wood wares, etc. The excavation, especially the discovery of M3, provides material data for the study of clothing and burial custom of the early Ming Dynasty.
