英语语境:
As a joint along the Silk Route between western region culture and native Chinese culture, Dunhuang has provided a continuous datable record of the style of shading from the western region since the fifth century which is also known as “convex-concave painting” in literature, and it later turned into the style of native Chinese brush-and-ink painting. Many Dunhuang paintings in the sixth century combined shading skill of the west with Chinese drawing lines, and the transformation from “convex-concave” skill to the calligraphic way of painting which stressed “thickening-and-thinning”, has enabled Chinese painting to realize its control and conquest over illusional space in its own way.
