Due to special geographical position, numbers of large burials, including Jinzhou No.4 Tomb built around Warring States Period in the Kingdom of Chu and Nanchang Wu tomb built in Ming Dynasty, have been found in southern China. Meanwhile, large amounts of silk fabrics are excavated from both tombs. Under close magnification by optical microscope on the two batches of fabrics which have about two thousand years of gap, it is found that the silk fabric from Jinzhou No.4 Tomb mainly includes plain cloth, warp brocade and damask, while that from Nanchang Wu Tomb mainly includes ghatpot silk, leno, satin brocade and figured satin. The organization structures of the silk fabric are plain weave, twill weave and satin weave.
