卜辞中有关贞人名的字体较多，分类学者列举的特征字形中多有涉及。贞人名字形多置于前辞“干支卜”之后，“贞”字之前，其他的则多见于非占卜性记事刻辞中的签名或记录中，也有一些处在贞卜内容之中。其中有些贞人名字形，较之其他形式的特征字体，明显地具有较突出的“构形特征”，并且具备了“通用性”最高的字形、字体属性等特点。

There're various fonts of the names of the augurs in the oracle bone inscriptions which taxonomists had mentioned when they were listing characteristic fonts. Mostly, the augur's name was put behind the inscription of the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches and before their post title. The others were mainly seen in the signatures and records of inscriptions which were not concerned with the augury and sometimes it also appeared in the augural inscriptions. Compared with other forms of featured fonts, some fonts of augurs'names appeared to be especially pictographic and had the characteristics of high universality.
