Pottery shreds and sinters dating to the early, middle and late period of Taosi culture were excavated in Taosi Site. Experts analyzed the chemical compositions of potteries of different times as well as of the sinter. It was found that major elements were similar among the potteries of the three periods, while minor elements of the early period were significantly different from those of the middle and late periods.
