古代陶器上常常保留着当时陶工的指纹痕迹，而现代指纹学的研究成果表明，指纹形态与年龄阶段存在着一定的对应关系。引入现代指纹学的研究成果，考古学者对二里头遗址出土陶器上的指纹痕迹进行采集、观察、测量。研究结果显示：二里头遗址二里头时期陶器生产者的年龄构成可能较为多样，而且当时的“未成年人”很可能已经参与到陶器生产过程中，并且根据目前的指纹标本推测，他们或许主要从事辅助性工作。
英语语境:
Ancient pottery always retained the fingerprints of the ancient potters. According to the recent research of dactylography, the fingerprints were related to the age group. By introducing the research results of modern dactylography, the archeologists collected, observed and measured the fingerprints on the ancient pottery from Erlitou site. The data of the study showed that the potters'ages were relatively various and the underage group may be involved in the potters production during Erlitou period. Based on specimens of the fingerprint, underage workers may just do some auxiliary work during the process.
