With the development of industry and improvement of people's living standard, the printing paper is widely used and has a soaring market demand. Many paper products such as soap wrapping paper, alarm clock paper, pictorials, magazines, wall calendar, advertisements, and various kinds of label paper are made from printing paper. However, under proper temperature and humidity conditions, especially in the rainy season, many mycetes become growing and reproducing on the surface of printing paper daubed with starch, latex and lubricant, which is called "mildewing”. Undoubtedly, this would exert negative impacts on the appearance and quality of the printing paper and result in unnecessary financial losses. Therefore, anti-mildew techniques must be adopted to grapple with the issue, and one best way is to add some amount of anti-mildew agents that is secure, effective and broad-spectrum into the printing paper.
