China is a country with time-honored civilization, and the long history of the Yangtze river culture and the Yellow River culture, together with unique textile processing technology have brought great achievements to Chinese clothing art. The appearance of weft brocade was an epoch-making event in textile history of China. The so-called weft brocade refers to weft-patterned technique that was introduced from western countries. Compared with traditional warp-patterned technique in China, the weft-patterned technique is technically superior. It can enrich the fabrics'colors and make patterns seem more vividly, because of which, the brocade has got rid of its primitive image that had impressed people since Wei and Jin Dynasties.
