汉语语境:

屹立于贵阳东门月城上的文昌阁，是我国千百年来实行科举制度的产物，是贵州全省上百座文昌阁中仅存的规模最大的一座。它建于十六世纪末 (公元1506年、明万历二十四年，迄今已有四百余年的历史。为保护这一文物，2001-2002年贵阳市人民政府投资1000多万元，经过近两年的大力维修，恢复了昔日的古建筑群和古城墙，并拓宽面积约10000平方米，成为市民休闲娱乐和欣赏古文化、古建筑的好地方。

英语语境:

Standing on the east gate of Yuecheng, Guiyang province, Wen Chang Ge is the product of imperial examination system in the past several hundred years; meanwhile, it is also the largest one among the hundreds of Wen Chang Ge which have survived in Guizhou province. It was built at the end of the 16th century (1506 A.D., the 24th year of Wanli in Ming dynasty), and has a history of over 400 years. In order to preserve this culture relic, People's Government of Guiyang Municipality spend more than 10 million yuan on its repairing work, and after two years'good maintenance, the group of old buildings and city walls are restored and their space is extended by ten thousand square meters. Nowadays, they are a leisure complex for citizens to have fun and appreciate ancient Chinese cultures and buildings.
