2004年7月，山东省文物考古研究所在临淄市大武村发掘了一座元代墓葬。墓葬为仿木结构的圆形单室，采用砖雕与壁画相结合的装饰方法。砖雕以单砖拼砌为主，雕刻为辅，并配以彩绘，主要内容有歇山顶式建筑、家具和灯檠等。壁画是在砖面上薄施白灰，再用红、黑、黄彩绘制。墓内有“至正十七年”和“至正二十四年”的墨书题记。此墓为研究元代末期的墓葬形制等提供了新资料。

英语语境:

In July 2004, the Relics and Archaeology Institute of Shandong Province discovered a tomb of Yuan Dynasty at Dawu Village, Linzi City. The tomb had a single round chamber which was an imitation of wooden structure with decorations of brick carvings and wall paintings. The brick carvings were mainly built by laying bricks with carving as a supplement; usually, the brick carvings were coordinated with coloured drawings; the themes of the carvings were Xieshan style buildings, furniture, lampstands and so on. The murals were painted with red, black, yellow colours on the wall which were daubed with thin white plaster. Some black coloured inscriptions, such as “the 17th year of Zhizheng”, “the 24th year of Zhizheng”, were found in the tomb. This discovery brought new data to the research on tomb's formation structure of the late Yuan Dynasty.
