成都金沙遗址是一处商代晚期至春秋时期的古蜀王国都邑，其分布面积约 5平方公里。在遗址的大型祭祀活动区内现已出土玉器 2000余件。这批玉器制作精美，器上少见使用的痕迹。从其类型及特点分析大都不是实用物品，而是祭祀的礼仪性用器。金沙玉器大多具有礼神、祀神、通神的功用，玉质礼器在祭祀活动中的大量使用体现出金沙社会以神权为主导的原始宗教社会的特性。

英语语境:

Jinsha site at Chengdu with an area of 5 sq km was the capital of ancient Shu State from the late Shang Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn period. About 2000 pieces of jade articles were excavated from the large sacrificial place. These articles were finely made and rarely used. From the analysis of the types and features of the jade articles, it was speculated that most of them did not belong to the utility but the ritual articles. Most of these jade articles in Jinsha site had such functions as worshiping gods, sacrificing gods and communicating with gods. The fact that they were widely used in the ritual activities verified that Jinsha had been the primitive religion society with the characteristic of the theocracy.
