广彩即“广州织金彩瓷”的简称，是清代康熙、雍正年间出现的一个专为外销而生产的彩瓷品种。当时为适应外销的需要，将景德镇所烧的素瓷坯运到广州后，根据外商的需求，加以彩绘，再经700～750℃烘烤而成。它在制作上吸收传统的五彩技艺，融入粉彩的部分技法，同时又仿照西洋油画的表现手法，用彩厚重，但能自如地表现出明暗的透视关系。
英语语境:
Guangcai is the abbreviated form of “Guangzhou woven gold color procelain”, which was produced specially for exportation purpose during Kangxi and Yongzheng periods. At that time, in order to meet export sales, firstly the porcelain bodies made in Jingdezhen were transported to Guangzhou, and then were painted with colored patterns according to the demands of foreign businessmen, and finally were fired at 700 to 750 degrees Celsius. In terms of its process techniques, for one thing it absorbed traditional techniques of the five colours together with part techniques of famille rose; for another, it copied techniques of western oil paintings with heavy colors to freely show the perspective relations between light and shade.
