自然崇拜的起源可以追溯到远古时期。早在新石器时代的遗存中，就已发现很多描述日月星辰、动物、植物等崇拜的情景。在内蒙古阴山岩画中，就有大量该类图案。除此之外，半坡文化遗址出土的彩陶上绘有植物枝叶的图案，马家窑文化遗址出土的麦穗图案和绘有草叶纹、花卉纹的彩陶花瓣纹盆、植物纹双耳彩陶壶等，都有植物崇拜的意味。

英语语境:

The origin of nature worship can be traced back to ancient times. Remains of the Neolithic age showed many scenes of worshiping the sun, the moon, the stars, animals and plants, which can be seen in the paintings in Yinshan Petrogram in Inner Mongolia. In addition, a sense of plant worship was also conveyed from patterns of plant branches and leaves on the painted pottery unearthed from Banpo Cultural Heritage, patterns of wheat ears, patterns of leaves, flower and plant painted on pottery basin and patterns of plants painted on pot with two ears, unearthed from Majiayao Cultural Heritage.
