石头河遗址于1997年 4月发现，考古学者从中获得了一批重要文物。采集的遗物主要有石器、陶器及少量的玉器和铜器。石器包括石片、砍砸器、石镞、石凿、石斧、石球等，可分为打制、压制和磨制石器。其中石片采集较多，共有 30 件。石片多为锤击法产生，形状不规则者居多，大小不等。例如，其中的一件石片采用灰色天然砾石打制而成，平面呈不规则三角形，梯形台面，打击点清楚，背面较平，留有锥痕。

英语语境:

Shitouhe site, found in April 1997, yielded some important cultural relics including stone implements, pottery and few jades and bronzes. The stone implements including flakes, choppers, arrowheads, celts, axes and balls, were produced with such techniques as chipping, pressing or polishing. Among them, flakes, 30 pieces in total with irregular shapes and different sizes, accounted for a large proportion of the stone implements. All of them were made with hammering technique. For example, one flake of them was chipped grey natural gravel, with irregular triangular plane, trapezoidal table, clear striking point, flat back and prod mark.
