汉语语境:

宋至明的朝服与燕服所用之系带分别为革带和绦带，二者之带头不同。革带之带头称为“三台”，绦带之带环称为“绦环”，其尾缀一钩，可称为绦钩。绦环之称谓不应包括绦钩，须分别定名。明帝王生前所用绦带头类似革带之玉铸三台，可暂借以称之为玉绦带三台。

英语语境:

Belts fasten on court apparel from Song to Ming Dynasties and those wore by people in Yan Dynasty were divided into leather belts and silk woven belts. The clasps at the end of these two types of belts were different. The head of the leather belt was called “santai” (three squared buckles), while the ring of the silk belt was called “taohuan” with a hook being sewed on at its end, whihc was called silk belt hook. However the term “taohuan” did not include the part of hook and consequently a different appropriate term was required to name it. The head of the silk belts worn by emperors of Ming Dynasty were fitted with jade clasps like those on the leather belts, so clasps on such silk belts can be termed as jade silk belt with decorations of three squared buckles.
