The Yuan Zhen's epitaph of Northern Wei Dynasty excaveted in Mang mountain of Luoyang in 1920 can be regarded as the boutique of the Wei epitaph and has extremely high cultural, artistic and historical values. Yuanzhen's life was just at the intersection with the Pingcheng and Luoyang period when the Northern Wei Dynasty was witnessing the climax of the system changes, cultural cohesion and national integration. His experience was the miniature of the policy changes of the clan of Tuoba tribe and the development track of the regime of the Northern Wei Dynasty. Yuan Zhen's personal experience also indicated the disintegration of the schism genesis and the destiny of most of distant clans which was also the historic value of this epitaph.
