1969年在河北东汉中山王刘畅墓出土的玉座屏，造型及人物故事繁杂，勾勒精细，为东汉发现的较为少见的陈设用玉。据推测其上屏描绘的人物形象为西王母，而下屏主题人物根据出现的时代有三种可能。不管是哪种可能，这种以西王母为主体题材故事的玉座屏的出现并非偶然，它体现了汉代人们对生命不死的追求。
英语语境:
In 1969, a jade pedestal screen was unearthed in the tomb of Liuchang, King Zhongshan of the Eastern Han dynasty in Hebei province. This jade ware was one of the rare decorations of the Eastern Han dynasty with various figures and intrinsic stories meticulously carved. It is reckoned that the character portrayed on the upside of the jade screen be Western Queen. As for the character on the lower part, there are three possibilities according to different period. In either case, this kind of jade pedestal screen featured in Western Queen was not made unwittingly. It embodied the pursuit of immortalization of the people of Han dynasty.
