Based on dimensional economics, researchers discuss the relationship between FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) and the interests of host nation. It is found that in the short run, national income of the host is mainly determined by domestic factor endowment, but not directly related to FDI; in the long run, FDI does not have cumulative effect and industrial relating effect on the host, either. However, if the host is a big nation, capital flow can be controlled and the nation can become the industrial cluster center of manufacturing by using trade policies.
