We divide the environmental effect of carbon emissions change into scale effect, structure effect, environment protection technology effect, production technology effect, hybrid technology effect, structural production technology effect, structural environment protection technology effect, and overall effect by means of difference models based on extension of the decomposition model of environmental effects, which aims at empirically analyzing the contribution of technological progress, the adjustment of industrial structure and energy structure to carbon emissions reduction in China's industrial sectors from 1998 to 2010.
