Since late 1990s, the development of derivatives has exceeded its previous pattern of regarding commodity and currency as underlying assets. Every economic and financial activity is inherently risky. Theoretically, all types of risk can eventually form a certain type of derivative products. A good example is the emergence of the Weather Derivatives, which bring significant effects on the financial derivative products. The function of financial derivative products transaction is also changing from risk protection to risk management and risk allocation.
