The principle of profit maximization deviates from the objective of consistent economic development. Second, the principle brings about four types of economic expansion, i.e., expansion of scale economy, scope economy, regional economy, and economic imperialism. Third, the principle acknowledges individual irrationality, which makes the whole society generally indifferent to or neglectful of the absence of rationality of the society as a whole. Fourth, the principle erodes the value concept of the globe as a whole, setting obstacles for people's sincere cooperation in dealing with global crisis.
