Since the 1980s, the US has carried out reform in school diversification in the name of "School Restructuring". The theory of school diversification originates from the views of liberalism, post-modernism and so on in education, and also the criticism of the school bureaucracy. Through reform strategies such as diversifications of management models, business entity and educational body, the "School Restructuring" movememt helps to realize the diversification of schools. The reforms deeply affect American public education system, though the outcome is unclear. However, school diversification is still a meaningful value pursuit.
