地理标志和商标都是知识产权的保护客体。作为知识产权的重要组成部分，地理标志与商标保护制度将长期并存是客观现实，但两者之间的冲突在所难免。我国目前存在对地理标志两种模式、三套体制的保护制度的冲突急需研究并加以解决。从战略上考虑，首先应当确定地理标志与商标保护制度协调发展的基本原则，其次应该正确处理好专门法与商标法对地理标志保护的协调发展。

Geographical indication and trademark are objects of Intellectual Property Rights. As important parts of Intellectual Property Rights, it is true for both geographical indication and trademark protection system to co-exist for a long time. However, it is also inevitable for them to conflict with each other. Therefore, the current conflicts of two-pattern and three-system protective system in Chinese geographical indication are in urgent need of research and solutions. Strategically, the basic principles for coordinated development of geographical indication and trademark protection system should be made and confirmed; and then the coordinated development of geographical indication with the protection of the specialized law and the trademark law should also be done well.
