There are many market administration agencies in China. Their functions and powers are not clear and definite, which results in multitudinous rules and inefficiency. The above problems can be attributed to the initial stage of the reform and some other factors, such as division of powers, economic income, personnel arrangement and post-setting which should be geared to the needs of the higher authorities. In order to make the market administration system contribute to the further economic development, we should merge the agencies that have the same or close function in administration and reconstruct a better system based on the principles of unity, authority and efficiency.
