Reasons such as the long incubation period of such diseases, the high mobility of the workforce, the lack of concern or lack of understanding on occupational diseases of both the employer and the employees, and take regular check-up not seriously, coupled with the fact that there is no specific rules and regulations to handle such issues in the prevailing laws, resulted in the delayed diagnosis, deferred treatment and invalid claims.
